| The story of the Locanda begins in 1997 when, Carmen 26 and Giancarlo 27 decide to begin their life together in a small Umbrian village. Its size, the quality of life and the importance of human relations made Montone, a charming XIIth century village perched on a hilltop overlooking the Tiber Valley, our home and our future. We bought the house where Braccio Fortebraccio, the famous Condottiere once lived, and which is now the Locanda del Capitano. We celebrated our wedding there, so, right from the outset and almost as if by chance, we opened the door of our home to our guests and welcomed them in the same style and with the same pleasure as one welcomes a friend; with the same style and the same warmth as the people of this wonderful village welcomed us. So it is here that Giancarlo, nicknamed the Captain by the villagers, Carmen and Captain Junior, Gian Marco, who was born on the 18th of May 2001, live happily together. |
