| Gran Vía hotel enjoys an excellent location in the centre of Barcelona, just in the business and shopping district and close to Plaça Catalunya, the main square of this beautiful Mediterranean city. The property was founded in 1935 in an elegant palace of the 19th century which had been closed during the Spanish Civil War. The hotel underwent the last renovation in 2000, but its interiors still conserve some of the furniture and the art pieces from its original period. On the other hand, the hotel provides a terrace with a little garden and three meeting rooms suitable to organise conventions, business meetings and banquets. One of these lounges is used as a dining room for up to 110 persons and is the most wonderful part of the hotel, being still decorated in elegant style and with 19th century furniture. |
