| CHOUPANA HILLS is a luxurious Resort & Spa nestled on the verdant hillside of Funchal. The development of this project has been inspired by the French architect Michel de Camaret co-jointly with architect-decorator Didier Lefort who designed and decorated the famous Meridien Bora Bora and The Datai in Malaysia. The main features of the building are wood and stone, comprised of 31 bungalow-style units, built on pillars. Same African and Asian influences can be noticed in the unique decoration style of this boutique hotel as well as in other antiques pieces sourced from various Portuguese discoveries. The indoor leisure areas, reception, library, seminar room with a capacity of approximately 40 people, and the spa, are found in one of the main buildings. The bar, restaurant and kitchen are situated in another separate building. There are two heated swimming pools, one outdoor lagoon swimming pool, and another indoors in the spa area. |
